Healing is not a race. It is not a performance. It is not always loud, or visible, or even understood by those around you. Healing is a deeply personal journey, sacred in its essence, and often intertwined with the threads of our ancestors' experiences. It moves like water—sometimes still, reflecting the calmness of acceptance and understanding, sometimes rushing with the force of emotions that need to be expressed, always carving out new spaces within us where there was once only pain and suffering. Just as water shapes the land over time, so too does our healing shape our identity and our future, transforming the scars of our past into a testament of resilience and strength.



At Alkebulan’s Abode, we honor healing as a profound return to wholeness, a reclamation of the self that has been fragmented by various forms of trauma and disconnection. It is a remembering of who we are at our core, a peeling back of all that colonialism, trauma, and disconnection tried to bury deep within us. This journey does not simply address the surface wounds; it delves into the depths of our histories and cultures, acknowledging the pain inflicted by systemic oppression and the legacies that have been passed down through generations. And we remind you: you do not heal alone. You heal with the voices of your ancestors behind you, whispering wisdom and strength, with community beside you, offering support and understanding, and with spirit within you, guiding you toward your truth and purpose.


This blog space will serve as a sanctuary, a place to share practices, affirmations, and stories that nourish the soul and uplift the spirit. Our intention is not to fix you, for the notion of being broken implies a lack of worth or completeness. Instead, we aim to remind you that you were never broken; you are whole, even amidst the chaos of healing. You are on a path that is uniquely yours, filled with twists and turns that contribute to your growth and understanding. You are already enough, just as you are, with all your complexities and nuances.
